DTP Kinematic Clearance Assessment

Agonics performed a kinematic envelope clearance assessment for client, Victorian Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), as part of the New Rollingstock Program.

The study involved analysing LiDAR data across 240 corridor km of the Victorian Rail Network and generating platform height and offset reports across standard gauge platforms.

This reuse of existing LiDAR datasets underscored the inherent value of LiDAR datasets that have been rigorously recorded and processed as well as correctly indexed to the rail network so that reports on defects and asset condition can be relied on by the business.
