The team at Agonics would like to congratulate everyone involved in the National Train Communication System (NTCS) upgrade that was completed by the ARTC with support from Telstra and Downer Wireless. This project was awarded the Infrastructure Project Excellence Award at the Australasian Rail Industry Awards celebrated in Sydney last week.

It was our privilege to work on the NTCS project through a series of detailed tunnel surveys utilising the Agonics MLS and LiDAR technology with complex Kinematic Envelope clearance analysis completed using the XERRA software.

Agonics’ clearance reports and XERRA informed the design of new leaky feeder cables through each of 13 ARTC tunnels in NSW.
